Climbing

Climbing is available for beginners under the guidance of the local French climb school and those who are more advanced can attempt some of the cliff faces in the area.

Right on our doorstep (10 mins walk) are 3 excellent climbs - The "Pas de l'Ours" cliff, with some routes up to 80 metres in length, up to level 8A, 8B. The "Touvière" beginners rock face, with routes up to 30 metres in length (5 to 6B). The rock-face for experts looking to work on their technique at Arblay on the Col du Corbier (from 7B).

Via Ferrata
Located just a stone’s throw away from the centre of Avoriaz, on the side of the mountain is a safe signposted via ferrata route. The route is equipped with a handrail system, steps, and footbridges, allowing you to climb up the rock face to the summit in complete safety. The view from the top is magnificent
There is also an indoor artificial climbing wall in Morzine’s Palais des Sport.
