A wealth of cycling opportunities are literally right on our doorstep and of course this area is steeped in Tour de France heritage. The road cycling around Morzine and the surrounding Porte du Soleil region provides both intermediate and challenging cycling surrounded by spectacular scenery.

The Col de Joux Plan (60km) is a classic Tour de France climb and also one of the toughest. It takes in some stunning scenery and the beautiful alpine village of Samoens.

The Col de Ramaz circuit was climbed during the Tour de France centenary tour in 2003. It covers 65km taking you on another stunning but testing tour via col de l'Encrenaz, the small ski station of Pras de Lys the Ramaz itself at 1559m and then a descent to the Giffre Valley before heading back.

The unrelenting Route de Avoriaz is a gruelling 14km ride covering 800m from Morzine to the ski station of Avoriaz.

Megevette Circuit is a 75km route with a steady climb to the Col de Jambaz. A rolling descent follows, taking you through the picturesque village of Mieussy. Travel along the Giffre Valley to Tanninges finishing with a climb back to Morzine via Les Gets.

The chalet itself sits on the climb to the Col du Corbier a gentle introduction to Alpine road touring affording some of the best views around and the villages of Le Biot and La Forclaz

Two Countries Tour at 130km is a very long day but one offering some of the most rewarding views. The route passes right by our doorstep traveling into Switzerland and back along the shores of Lake Geneva. The descent into Switzerland via Morgins gives fantastic views of the Dents du Midi and Dents Blanche mountain ranges. A rolling descent to the shores of Lake Geneva with a view across the sparkling water to Montreux and Lausanne, through the spa town of Evian and then a steady climb back to the chalet for dinner and a well deserved drink!

For a small supplement we can offer fully assisted rides with minivan enabling you to really enjoy the whole region, pick-ups and drop-offs plus a packed lunch for your days biking.
